H.D. Metal Company, founded in 1936 by Hyman & David Stein (Father and son), is a recycling company located in Salisbury, Maryland serving both the commercial and residential recycling needs of the entire Delmarva Peninsula. We specialize in purchasing and processing non-ferrous and ferrous metals, most grades of paper, commercial paper shredding, and various grades of plastic scrap.
In September 1995, the name was changed to Delmarva Recycling, Inc t/a H.D Metal Company. The name change reflects both the new ownership (Gregory L. Stein & David N. Eccleston) and our commitment to the recycling industry. While our strengths will continue to be in non-ferrous and ferrous metals, paper and plastic, our intention is to serve Delmarva's ever-expanding recycling needs in the new millennium.

"Recycling Today...
Conserving Delmarva's Tomorrow"

Many hours of thought, deliberation and review have been expended in the creation of this mission statement. It is intentionally brief so as to maximize recognition by our customers and remind us all of why we are here.
